About VCG Investment Management


VCG Investment Management AB “VCG IM” is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Volvo Car Corporation, which manages the global pension mandate of the Volvo Car Group.

VCG IM has a strategic advisory role and is a one-stop-shop for cross-border investment management and advisory services to Volvo Cars pension funds based in Europe or elsewhere. The shared-services approach to Group pension fund management, initiated by Volvo Cars, has the aim to strengthen the overview of Group pension assets while improving risk adjusted performance and lowering costs.

VCG IM provides services such as portfolio and manager advisory, turnkey outsourced CIO solutions, including full lifecycle advisory ranging from policy formulation, asset allocation, manager selection, and portfolio construction as well as monitoring of exposures and board reporting.

VCG Investment Management AB is regulated by Sweden's financial supervisory authority and is authorized to manage alternative investment funds according to the law (2013:561) pertaining to managers of alternative investment funds, LAIF.

VCG Investment Management AB is regulated by Sweden's financial supervisory authority and is authorized to manage alternative investment funds according to the law (2013:561) pertaining to managers of alternative investment funds, LAIF.

In accordance with Sweden's financial supervisory authority’s regulations (FFFS 2013:10) regarding alternative investment fund managers, VCG IM has adopted a remuneration policy. The policy aims to promote sound and effective risk management practices and to counteract excessive risk taking. The Board of Directors have analyzed the risks connected with the Company’s remuneration policy and procedures, and also identified regulated empolyees. VCG Investment Management AB (VCG IM) står under Finansinspektionens tillsyn, och innehar följande tillstånd:

  • Tillstånd till fondverksamhet enligt lag (2013:561) om förvaltare av alternativa investeringsfonder, LAIF
  • Diskretionär portföljförvaltning av investeringsportföljer
  • Fondstrategi för hedgefonder
  • Investeringsrådgivning till kund avseende finansiella instrument

VCG IM har även sidotillstånd för att utföra valutatjänster i enlighet med 2 kap. 2 § LV.

Bolagets styrelse har i enlighet med Finansinspektionens föreskrifter (FFFS 2013:10) om förvaltare av alternativa investeringsfonder antagit en ersättningspolicy. Policyn har till syfte att främja en sund och effektiv riskhantering och motverka överdrivet risktagande. Styrelsen har analyserat de risker som är förenade med bolagets ersättningssystem och på grundval av analysen identifierat särskilt reglerad personal. För den identifierade personalen, innefattande bland annat bolagets samtliga förvaltare, skall del av eventuell rörlig ersättning skjutas upp under tre år.
